Husby In Town, Again.

He's here for a week now and will going back to Lombok sweet Lombok in a few days. We've been hanging out with friends, spending quality times with our huskies and families, seeing some movies at the cinema, going on a culinary trip around town. I'm a happy wife! (:

EuroCup 2012: Spain vs Portugal

They're ready to defend their title!!!
I have always been a loyal supporter for the Spaniards ... and the Germans. Always have and always will. So naturally, EuroCup this year so far has been so pleasant for me. I watched every single match of both teams and happy to say that both teams are heading to the top! Last night Spain got through to the finals and will face either Germany or Italy (I hope it'll be Germany, please please please). Fingers crossed! Vamos La Furia Roja and of course, Grande San Iker my hero - my love! ((:

Monday ManiPedi: Pantone-ish Manicure

On this Monday ManiPedi's feature, I'm trying out a very simple nail art: Pantone-ish Manicure, I got the inspiration from here. I use OPI Samoan Sand for the base (I have big love for this color, it blends so well with all the other colors) and use Essie Tart Deco for the Pantone Color, simply pastel and neon which currently trending this year. I love the result, the colors are very pretty, aren't they! But this will only last for a week, because next Monday I'll be doing ombre nails! Stay tuned. (;

Sunday Thoughts: Freedom in Christ

Many of my fellow Christians have been posting this "Why I Hate Religion, But Love Jesus" video and opt to 100% supporting the video and "expect" people to react the same as they do.

Almost everyone but me.

I personally support most of the video, but not 100%. The thing is that Christianity really IS a religion. But somehow people nowadays are making it seem that religion is a bad thing. It shouldn't be that Lord Jesus versus religion, what it should be is Lord Jesus versus false teachings / false prophets / false beliefs.

I honestly think that we should change the definition of religion into a positive thing instead of giving off a negative vibe. People tend to think that religion is strict and have too much rules, when in reality, Lord Jesus sets us free...

That's my opinion, you can always agree to disagree (:

Happy Sunday! God bless.

"It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery" Galatians 5:1

Corgi Cuteness

My most favorite breed of dogs is Siberian Husky, obviously. However, I've been dreaming of adding a (pair of) Pembroke Welsh Corgi to my family one day. Corgis are cuuuute, I doubtlessly love them!  I've been following this "The Daily Corgi" tumblr page for more than a year just to amuse myself (I'm sorry Chewy Lowy but this doesn't mean that I love you both less). What do you think of Corgi dogs? Aren't they totes adorbs!

Farewell, Emil...

Exactly a month ago, a very dear friend passed away - he went to bed at night and never woke up the next day. He was 33 years old and about to get settled down with his life; brand new job as a first officer at this new airlines company (yes, he was a pilot) and about to tie the knot with his girlfriend.

I went to his funeral with our college friends and it was a very emotional day for all of us. It was just so sudden... died so young and very unexpectedly.

Emil Ridwan was a great man and a great friend. He was a kind-hearted person and very silly/annoying  at the same time, LOL. Emil was the type of guy who always help a friend in need, also a fun companion because he never failed to make me and my friends laughed out loud til we fell on the floor (literally) and he cared about his friends. I could definitely say that my life journey wouldn't be the same without him in it. We went to college together, took same major and always had the same classes. We sure had a lot of memories together in four years time; everyday life in college, freelance job at this Australian Bank, our silly/fun adventures in Europe and many many more. You will surely be missed and I will never forget you... thank you for everything, Milo!!! (':

My prayers are with his loved ones; his family and his girlfriend. May God give them strength to continue their lives without him and may God comfort them with the fact that he is with Him now and with his mother who passed away few months earlier. My heartfelt deepest condolences to his family, he was a true gift to everyone and filled lives with that extra special part of him while he was living.

Ah, life is never certain. We will never know if today would be our last. The passing of Emil taught me to give more value to every single day I have in my life... and to value my health and my loved ones more. It taught me not to put off the things I have wanted and needed to do for tomorrow if I can only do them today. It helped me redefine my priorities in life and to update and act on my "bucket list" the soonest.

Short Messy Bob Cut

I love Kelly Framel, remember I once blogged on how much I adore her chic white-themed office? And now, I happen to love her hairstyle. My hair looks like hers right now... I just need to wave my hair and color my hair dark brown. Do you think that hairstyle will suit me?

PS. When she got "coveteured"!

Caroline Channing's Walk-In Closet

2 Broke Girls stole my heart since the pilot episode and it's actually a lot funnier than my other favorite show, New Girl. But I'm not going to discuss about the show but Caroline's Walk-In Closet! In Eps 4: And The Rich People Problems, Max and Caroline broke in to Caroline's townhouse to retrieve Caroline's biteguard. They stepped in to Caroline's tres gorgeous teal-themed walk-in closet! I'm in love. My future walk-in closet would surely look like this (or close - lol) ((; ... Amen.

What do you think?

Wanderlust: Lake Retba, Senegal

via Pinterest
And I quote,  "Senegal's Lake Retba, or as the French refer to it Lac Rose, is pinker than any milkshake. Experts say the lake gives off its pink hue due to cyanobacteria, a harmless halophilic bacteria found in the water." Lake Retba has a high salt content, much like that of the Dead Sea, allowing people to float effortlessly in the massive pink water."

Dream Office

Since I watched "The September Issue" last year or two years ago (?) and with as many fabulous moments that stand out, there is one thing that I can never seem to ignore - Mrs. Wintour's office! Her overwhelmingly cream and traditionally designed office, went a bit industrial with the steel chairs and not to forget, photo walls are a must! I so fancy photo walls, check out my bedroom's wall below:

I love to decor my wall with my favorite photos! This one is one of my bedroom walls. I love it.  I guess my future office would be more or less the same ((:
Anyhoo, Anna Wintour's office is brilliant. I am instantly hooked!  One day, I will have an office just like hers.

The September Issue

The fab Anna Wintour at her brilliant office.

Tolix® Marais A Chair, Anna Wintour's Office Chair
I'd want this chair in turquoise to be my office chair.
Or this one if I want to get comfortable (;
Photo walls are a must!
Cute office but I don't fancy the desk lamps, chair and flowers on the desk. Too tacky.
