Sunday Thoughts: Feed Your Faith
![]() |
| via spiritualinspiration |
“And without faith it is impossible to please God,
because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He
rewards those who earnestly seek Him” (Hebrews 11:6, NIV)
Do you know what pleases God? He’s not impressed by how much
knowledge we have. He isn’t influenced by how many possessions we have.
He’s not moved by our accomplishments, He is moved simply by our faith
in Him.
What’s interesting is that faith is a gift. It’s not something we
have to contrive or work up. The scripture tells us that everyone has
been given a measure of faith and that faith grows as we hear the Word
of God. That’s why it’s so important to stay connected to a Bible-based
church where you can hear the Word of God taught. That’s why we have to
make time every day to read and study His Word because you’re feeding
your faith. The more you feed your faith, the more you know Him and
understand His goodness.
Today, take time to feed your faith. Meditate on His Word and ask Him
to illuminate your heart with His truth. Trust that He is good and has
good things in store for your future because that is faith that pleases
God.

Prada Marfa
How many of you recognize this Prada Marfa sign?
![]() |
| via art.com and also can be purchased there. |
Prada Marfa is an art installation and also the exact replica of a Prada store in Marfa, Texas. Inside, like museum pieces displayed against a perfect white backdrop,
are Prada heels and bags. All the treasures inside are genuine Prada
products from its autumn 2005 collection. ‘The sculpture will
never function as a place of commerce, the door cannot be opened,’ says
the plaque beside the installation, just in case you were wondering. The place is firmly sealed so you could never get inside.
Well I suppose most of you know this sign from Gossip Girl. The sign which placed at the Bass / Van der Woodsen luxurious penthouse below...
![]() |
| via apartment therapy. |
I would really love to put up that sign at my house as well as the series of photographs taken at Prada Marfa by Gray Malin. Or I might as well do a DIY just like this girl here, since my first two options are quite pricey. I'm just secretly arty, not all out arty, so I'm not that willing to purchase pricey art stuffs.
But the Prada Marfa itself is without a doubt, a completely amazing
piece of art and I truly hope one day I'll get the chance to admire it in
person. Amen.

Postcards from the Sky
Just some photos my husband took while flying high up in the sky and a couple photos of him before flying. Despite the fact that I have acrophobia (and aerophobia, naturally) I just love the photos of scenic view of Indonesia my husband sent me, so beautiful beyond words. God Almighty!
You can also see and follow my husband's instagram account for more "postcards from the sky". But now, just enjoy the ones I posted below. (:

Well hello darlings!
What a crazy beautiful view, isn't it! I wonder where's the location since the person who pinned this didn't exactly mention it. This pic also makes me want to go on a little vacay so badly! Some of my friends had asked me to go Vietnam / Thailand / Singapore next month but at the same time my husband will be here in Jakarta. I'll have to take a rain check. Sorry, ladies... bad timing ):
Anyways eventhough there won't be any jacuzzi with killer view for me this weekend, I'll just settle with some good books I picked up earlier this week. That's good enough for me. (: I hope you'll have a pleasant weekend as well!
Links this Friday:
Take me to gelato tasting in italy!

My Fashion & Style Ramblings...
While I love fashion, I'm not that head over heels in love with fashion world and am definitely not a fashionista. I don't shop that often, normally only once a month. I know many of my friends and families who will go crazy if they don't shop at least once a week and still screaming "I don't have anything to wear!!!" everytime they get ready to go out and about. They (and many people) like to buy clothes or anything that is currently trending while I prefer to buy "timeless" clothes or the ones I really love (read: white tops and anything stripes!) and most importantly... comfortable. It works quite well for me, because it's tiring to follow the fashion trends because every season looks change and they don't always suit me.
However... there are some pieces from high-end
brands, like the Miu Miu glitter sunglasses, Cartier nail ring, Lanvin swimsuit, Hermès rose gold bracelet, Proenza Schouler bags or this Chanel bag, Balenciaga luggage and the list goes on and on and on... (you can see few of those pieces that I fancy here #code LOL!), that strike me with their
over-the-top design and say, "Yes. We are not important. But we'll look good on you..." -Oh la la...
I feed my very low fashion-hunger by following fashion / style blogs like:
The Blonde Salad (Chiara Ferragni - gotta love this girl, she has great taste and sense of style and I love her shoe line),
Olivia Palermo (She's like the reincarnation of Audrey Hepburn!! Love her effortless elegance and style),
What I Wore (Jessica Quirk - vintage / girl next door style)
Atlantic-Pacific (Blair Eadie)
The Glamourai (Kelly Framel)
and many more... but they are the ones I love the most and they're also kind of my inspiration.
Yes, I have love for some high-end brands, but that doesn't mean that I am the type of person that sits around during Fashion Week waiting for new pictures and videos to show up. Sure, I've watched some runway shows on FTV or streamed to my computer, also sometimes invited to high-end brand shows and to some private preview sale events (which both my mum and I never attended - not our thing) because I know that the thing I love about fashion isn't the
high-level, newest collections of some high-end brands --- I find the style a person possesses much
more fascinating. How many of you agree with me?

Path To Inner Peace
![]() |
| via Pinterest |
This quote is very true. I've been applying this to my life, hence my abandoned twitter account, instagram account and path account. I honestly can't find inner peace if I keep on checking my old twitter feed / old instagram feed / old path feed since there are too many dramas... so I simply "ignore" them. For me, it's a blessing not to know any gossip / ill behavior / when some people are spreading negative vibes. Do you any of you ever feel the same way? Or am I the only weird anti-social gal in the whole wide world? And if I'm bringing the negative vibe by blogging this post (I know I am), just do what I usually do, ignore! (;
Love you my darling readers! Please keep in mind that I will not abandon this blog, I will keep on blogging until the end of my life. Because this blog is one of my paths to inner peace. (:

Hector Series
![]() |
| via BooksActually |
Last year I read Francois Lelord's Hector and The Search of Happiness and I loved it. So now I'm going to go to my favorite bookstore (YAY!) to get the rest of Hector series. I'm just hoping they're gonna be as great as Hector and The Search of Happiness. Eventhough I recently purchased Game of Thrones series (already watched the Season 1 and Season 2 and quite intrigued to read the books) and 50 Shades trilogy since everyone on the internet is recommending those two. In other words, I still have books I haven't read yet despite the fact I'm gonna run to the bookstore once again. I admit I'm greedy when it comes to books. Judge me. Whatever. #ForgiveMeMyWallet
I'm almost done reading The Hunger Games trilogy, currently reading Book 3: Mockingjay. So far, I'm loving The Hunger Games trilogy. It's so hard for me to put the book down, back to the real life. Suzanne Collins is brilliant! And it's gonna be even harder for me to part ways with Katniss and friends... pretty sure I'm going to have "book hangover".

Collecting Our Nows
My husband and I have been in a long-distance-marriage for almost a year now (wow how time flies!) but we managed to get together at least once a month. So when he was here few weeks ago for pilot medical examination, I made an effort to bring a camera everywhere we go (but some days I just forgot all about the camera - LOL) and also took some pictures at home with our adorable huskies.
Simply because these two reasons:
![]() |
| via Pinterest |
#1. The promise we made at the altar, that we are going to love each other and stay true and be with each other until forever... it's just, only God knows how long that "forever" will be, but I do believe this quote: Forever is composed of Nows. Our togetherness every month also counts as our "nows" so I want to treasure and capture our moments no matter how mundane or ordinary our days are... for other people.
![]() |
| via Pinterest |
#2. I want to collect moments, not things. So that when we're old and couldn't remember clearly our early years of marriage, we can always open a photo album / digital photo album contains our photos from today. I'm pretty sure that those photos will be a lot more valuable for us in future than clothes or gadgets from today.

Fabulous Friday Finds

Hello darlings!
Don't you just love yummy desserts! Well, I do. I do love desserts. Although I have a wicked sweet tooth, it's discriminating. I don't like anything that's too sweet, such as sweet candies / caramelized apple (basically everything with caramel in it, so no Crème brûlée for me) / cupcakes with way-too-thick-icing. Just because it has sugar in it doesn't mean I'm going to eat it. Oh dear I hope I don't sound like a desserts snob. (; My kinds of cakes are cheesecakes (all kinds), tiramisu, red velvet and chocolate (esp. nutella) cakes.
Anyhoo... I always eat cake every weekend (not everyday, I'm avoiding diabetes lah) to keep my sanity and what I have been thinking about is which sweet treats I will indulge this weekend! Mmm... can't wait!
Have a yummy weekend!
If you want to try to make your own desserts, you might want to try this no bake cheesecake / pink vanilla pocky cake / tiramisu cheesecake / s'mores chocolate chip cookies
I want this tee.
I can relate to this very much. Happens to me everytime!
I'm so in love with this pair of sunglasses.

Love Story: Audrey Hepburn & Robert Wolders
This is a total re-post from one of my favorite blogs: { this is glamorous } 's
by joey bailey for {this is glamorous} | editing & image compilation by roséline | view previous articles
which I ABSOLUTELY ADORE! Eventhough I already know Audrey Hepburn's stories by heart, but this is my first time seeing photos of La Paisible, Audrey's estate in Switzerland. Her favorite place to be with her family and the place where she took her last breath.
Beautiful post. Great job, { this is glamorous } ! Giving link to this post is not enough, I simply have to repost because it's about Audrey Hepburn!!!

John F Kennedy, Jr and Carolyn Bessette (also Lauren Bessette, Carolyn Bessette's sister) left this world today 13 years ago tragically. Monday ManiPedi: Ikat Manicure
One of my favorite patterns! So happy I could put it on my nails. I got the tutorial from an instagrammer, her username is: lafemmelulu few days ago and been dying to do my nails since.
As per her instructions:
1. I applied two coats of Essie Turquoise & Caicos as the base, except for my ring-finger which I applied with two coats of Essie Tart Deco. Allow to dry few minutes.
2. Then I used Faceshop's White nailpolish to paint irregular spots. Wait few minutes to dry.
3. Used Essie Tart Deco to add irregular smaller spots on top of the larger spots.
4. Then used a black permanent marker to apply thin feathery strokes vertically following the outer edge of the contrasting spots. The lines need not be perfect as the final look exaggerates a fabric or feathered look.
5. Allow 15 minutes to dry before applying top coat.
I absolutely looove my nails right now!

Sunday Thoughts: Light Will Come Bursting In
![]() |
| via spiritual inspiration |
Repost from spiritual inspiration because this is a very beautiful post. If you have tumblr account and if you're a Christian, follow spiritual inspiration!
When darkness overtakes the godly, light will come bursting in.(Psalm 112:4)
Everyone goes through seasons of difficulty or times when things just
seem dark. During these challenging times, know that you are not alone.
God has a plan to drive out the darkness—He will flood you with His
light! Notice that in today’s verse it doesn’t say, “The light will come
trickling in.” No, it says that the light will come bursting in! That
means suddenly, you will see God’s goodness. Suddenly, you’ll be
promoted. Suddenly, the answer will come!
If you’ve been going through a difficult time, get ready for the
goodness of God in a new way. Know that His light is about to come
bursting in! Get ready for breakthroughs. Get ready for promotion. Get
ready for restoration. You may have had that problem for a long, long
time, but today could be the day that it turns around. Suddenly, things
can change! God wants His glory to be seen on you. He wants you to stand
out in the crowd. He wants you to be so blessed that everyone around
you can see His goodness on you! So keep standing, keep believing, keep
hoping and keep declaring His Word because His light is going to come
bursting in!

Taman Safari Cisarua
I'm a sucker for animals, I simply love animals more than I love people! So when I voiced my thought of going on a trip to Taman Safari Cisarua, I was thrilled that my husband and my brother had the same thing in their minds. We decided to go there while my husband still in town, so we went last Saturday (exactly a week ago) plus my brother's girlfriend. We went early but the Saturday traffic was just so freaking bad that it took us almost 3 hours to get there, fortunately my husband is a very patient man! ((; If I was in the driver's seat, I'd made a turn in the middle of that bad traffic and headed to another fun place, I was thinking DuFan! Probably next time.
Apparently the animals in Taman Safari Cisarua really worth 3 hours of bad traffic. They are so cute, elegant, beautiful and adorable! I would love to go back there again and my husband already planned so too, because we were quite in hurry that day we didn't get to see the Wild Wild West Cowboy Show and ride an elephant or a camel! Bummer.
Although the place is not as new, as nice, as big, as clean and as organized as Bali Safari and Marine Park - the best zoo in Indonesia (My husband and I went there in 2009 - hmm probably I'll post the pics sometime soon), it's still very interesting and a fun place to be - especially for family trip. What I love the most, is the cool weather!!! Unlike at Bali Safari and Marine Park where it's crucial to wear summer outfits because of the sizzling hot weather, you can wear jeans and long-sleeve top when visiting Taman Safari Cisarua in the middle of the day and not sweating! Such a lovely, lovely weather.
The foods at Rainforest Restaurant are also okay, not the best I've ever tasted but still okay. Not disappointing, in my opinion.
We had great times there and pretty sad when we have go back to Jakarta. *le sigh* We finally left Taman Safari Cisarua at 3 PM to avoid another bad traffic. Oh well... see you very very soon, Taman Safari Cisarua!!! We'll be back!
Tips: When visiting Puncak area on weekends, you have to know this first. So you won't be stuck in bad traffic for hours.
| That's where we heading to! Apparently if you have BNI card, you get 15% discount! |
