Travelogue: Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route - Part 2

So the last place we been to was Murodo. Then we headed to Daikanbo to board the Tateyama Ropeway. My cousin Lala and I who dislike the heights, we were not impressed to see that the ropeways spanned the valley between two mountain peaks. But we managed to face our fears and continue our Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route journey. I tend not to describe a lot on my travelogues since words will not do any justice. So again, enjoy the pics and see how spectacular the views are!

Like I said before, this journey was amazing. I would go back here one day.

You can see the Kurobe river from Daikanbo.

Sorry I don't know how to rotate this pic on blogger.com , anyways that's the Daikanbo station. There are actually no support towers along the length of the ropeway and the entire structure is supported by the two stations at either end.The length of this one span is an impressive 1.7km which makes is the longest single span ropeway in all of Japan.

Fresh water from the nature.

Considered as Japan’s tallest dam, with a total height of 186 meters and currently owned by Kansai Electric Power Company , the discharge of the water could only be viewed between the months of late June to mid October.
