Fabulous Friday Finds

via Animals Pictures

Hello darlings!

This weekend, my husband and I are planning to spend some quality time with our families. Probably go out for culinary trip around town or watch some movies at the cinema. I haven't seen "12 Years A Slave" nor "Robocop", so it's going to be either one. Which one do you recommend?

And for you my readers, whatever plan you have for this weekend, I hope you'll be happy and smiling ear to ear just like our cute friend the seal. Isn't the seal adorable! I'm melting inside.

Anyhoo, here's some fabulous links I found on the internet to be shared with you all. Enjoy!

This video cracks me up! LOL!

Funniest thing I've ever read in 2014.

Have a happy weekend! Toodles!

Travelogue: Kyoto

I fell in love with Kyoto.

Not the title of this post, merely a statement. Kyoto is a culturally rich city. Keyword here is culture, I have always been attracted to foreign culture and this very city quenched my thirst for timeless and unique heritage.

Kyoto has a lot to offer, such as the sacred sites and religious attractions, museums and foods. We only managed to cover one temple, one shrine, Gion and Shijo Avenue. I promise myself, if I ever go back to Kyoto in the future, I would visit other temples and shrines and stay there for a week because there is much to see in Kyoto.

, I was happy to be in Central Japan with an itinerary that included old castles, historic towns, cormorant fishing and beautiful scenery.

Travelogue: Osaka

KONNICHIWA MINNA-SAN!

Last autumn (exactly 4 months ago today) I went traveling to Japan with my mother, two aunts and three girlcousins. It was a "Ladies Trip" so we left behind our husbands, fathers, male siblings and cousins. I managed to arrange all the traveling details from choosing the dates, booking tickets, selecting the cities and attractions to go to, accommodation in each city and transportation. It was a lot of work but I did it with a happy heart and in the end, it was worth it... Japan is amazing! Everything is cute and high-tech in Japan yet the people are extremely polite and friendly.

I do love everything about Japan: the language, the people, the sceneries, the cities, the culture, the foods, the heritage, the technology, the weather, the products... EVERYTHING!!! Everything is amazing. I absolutely want to go to Japan every year if possible and explore all regions of Japan.

If you're planning to go to Japan and need some guidance or references, do not hesitate to contact me or leave comment on this post. I'd be happy to help.

So here are our adventures in Osaka, the first city we visited in Japan...

Travelogue: Singapore (Dec 2013)

Last trip to Singapore in year 2013.

This was my last trip to Singapore in 2013 (excuse the delay) and it was a business trip.

I actually love Singapore and going there makes me happy and sad at the same time. Happy that I don't have to face bad traffic (Jakarta, you drives me nuts!) and sad that Jakarta is not as convenient as Singapore.

Fabulous Friday Finds: Our Fifth Anniversary

Well hello darlings!

Above image was my creation and my first attempt doing calligraphy / typography or whatever it is called. I know it is very messy and way imperfect yet I'm quite proud of myself! I think I want to learn how to do it beautifully and in the right way with the right tools. Let's see if I could find the place or tutor for calligraphy in Jakarta. I am beyond interested! I used a pencil only (nope, no brushes nor ink pens just yet) and didn't actually plan to write my husband's and my name, however when I was done, I thought this would be very fitting with today's Fabulous Friday Finds theme...

Today is our 5th wedding anniversary, so today's links would only be about Jonah and Amara. ((:

Play this song while reading this post. She's one of our favorite female singers and we went to her mini concert in Jakarta two years ago. We love her

Our wedding.

This movie changed our lives forever.

We want to visit and explore this country together.

Our most favorite TV-show!!!

We collect these.

Our daily bread.

'til next Friday! Toodles!

I am proud to say that I have already seen some their movies and planning to see the rest in the future. I love old movies. Three of them are gone now (Shirley Temple passed away last week), Mickey Rooney is the only one who still alive and well, he'll turn 94 years old this year. God bless you, Mr. Yunioshi! ((:

Monday ManiPedi: Nautical Chevron

This was from last year and still one of my favorites until today. Simply because of these exquisite hues of the sea and the chevron pattern and very easy to do it yourself. I think I'm going to repeat this manicure one of these days.

Travelogue: Singapore (Jan 2014)

Went for a weekend getaway to Singapore, again. However, I had a valid reason why I chose Singapore for the umpteenth time; it is because my husband is currently in Singapore for work. The airline he works for, sent him for simulator training in Singapore for 50 days and I'm beyond ecstatic that they didn't send him to Toulouse (France), because it's just too far (and too expensive) for me to visit. So I went a week after he departed to Singapore. ((;
