New Year's Resolutions

Usually on NYE, people reflect on the changes they want (or need) to make and resolve to follow through on those changes for the coming year. Of course I also have NYR, at first I didn't want to post my NYR (didn't want to jinx them! - but hey they are all realistic ones) but what if I forgot all about them throughout the year? So let's write them down and do them one by one... so at the end of this year, I'll be proud of my own accomplishments.

1. Find some beautiful place to get lost in.

2. Volunteer to help others (I want to become a full-time humanitarian and philanthropist one day).

3. Saving instead of shopping!!!!!!!!!!!!!

4. Take a photo with a barn owl on my shoulder.

5. Cook and bake more often, cook once a week and bake once a month - minimum.

6. Complete my Audrey Hepburn DVD Collection.

7. Visit Bandung more often.

8. Buy a pair of Rollerblade and mushing harness for Chewy & Lowy (: Let's mush!

9. .......................

10. .....................

Last two are secret! And no, having kids is not one of them. The last two are really private, family members only.

So, these are my NYR, I'll do my best to accomplish them and letting God do the rest (:
In Jesus' name, Amen.

Believe.

Merry Christmas, Darlings (:

Isaiah 9:6
For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace.

Almost Christmas

I am sort of preview-ing my Christmas' miracle already. It may not snow in Jakarta, and the people aren't exactly festive, but for the last 2 months, I am now at peace with myself. I am counting my blessings (: I am grateful for my loved ones, for taking the time to paint my canvas with many different colors for 365 days, grateful for allowing me to mature, and for giving me the chance to grow. Even if I could turn back time, I wouldn't have it any other way. They have made it so worthwhile.

I know some of you are traveling outside Jakarta pretty soon, some are staying, some are busy doing something... I just want to wish each and every one of you a very Merry Christmas and reminding you all to start counting your blessings. Sweet memories are created for us to be constantly reminded that there were actually good times. So let's forget the bad ones, cherish the good ones, make new ones, and look forward to better ones.

New Year's wishes: Be on a clean slate, no longer hating and be wiser. I also look forward to making better memories with my loved ones, all next year, and the year after, and the year after, and the year after... til' we're all wrinkly and disgusting - keep chasing the end of your whatever rainbows, never weary, and I promise we all get there in the end. If you don't believe me, believe God - He said so. :)

A Poem by Rabindranath Tagore

I love good poems, especially beautiful poem like "Unending Love" by Rabindranath Tagore. This is actually Audrey Hepburn's favorite poem, shortly after her death, Greggory Peck (co-star in Roman Holiday) went on camera and tearfully recited this poem, for Audrey.

Unending Love

I seem to have loved you in numberless forms, numberless times...
In life after life, in age after age, forever.
My spellbound heart has made and remade the necklace of songs,
That you take as a gift, wear round your neck in your many forms,
In life after life, in age after age, forever.

Whenever I hear old chronicles of love, it's age old pain,
It's ancient tale of being apart or together.
As I stare on and on into the past, in the end you emerge,
Clad in the light of a pole-star, piercing the darkness of time.
You become an image of what is remembered forever.

You and I have floated here on the stream that brings from the fount.
At the heart of time, love of one for another.
We have played along side millions of lovers,
Shared in the same shy sweetness of meeting,
the distressful tears of farewell,
Old love but in shapes that renew and renew forever.

Today it is heaped at your feet, it has found its end in you
The love of all man's days both past and forever:
Universal joy, universal sorrow, universal life.
The memories of all loves merging with this one love of ours -
And the songs of every poet past and forever.

Your Highness

It is definitely my most awaited movie at this very moment. In case you're wondering why, you do know how much I love Natalie Portman and Zooey Deschanel right? Yes, you're guessing the right thing! They're starring "You're Highness" together! Yaaaaayyyy... I'm so stoked! If it's a great comedy movie,  awesome! If it's not great, I couldn't care less! LoL! Can't hardly wait!! (:

ps. the excessive exclamation marks = way too excited.
