Sunday Thoughts: Feed Your Faith
via spiritualinspiration
“And without faith it is impossible to please God,
because anyone who comes to Him must believe that He exists and that He
rewards those who earnestly seek Him” (Hebrews 11:6, NIV)
Do you know what pleases God? He’s not impressed by how much
knowledge we have. He isn’t influenced by how many possessions we have.
He’s not moved by our accomplishments, He is moved simply by our faith
in Him.
What’s interesting is that faith is a gift. It’s not something we
have to contrive or work up. The scripture tells us that everyone has
been given a measure of faith and that faith grows as we hear the Word
of God. That’s why it’s so important to stay connected to a Bible-based
church where you can hear the Word of God taught. That’s why we have to
make time every day to read and study His Word because you’re feeding
your faith. The more you feed your faith, the more you know Him and
understand His goodness.
Today, take time to feed your faith. Meditate on His Word and ask Him
to illuminate your heart with His truth. Trust that He is good and has
good things in store for your future because that is faith that pleases
God.

Prada Marfa
How many of you recognize this Prada Marfa sign?
via art.com and also can be purchased there.
Prada Marfa is an art installation and also the exact replica of a Prada store in Marfa, Texas. Inside, like museum pieces displayed against a perfect white backdrop,
are Prada heels and bags. All the treasures inside are genuine Prada
products from its autumn 2005 collection. ‘The sculpture will
never function as a place of commerce, the door cannot be opened,’ says
the plaque beside the installation, just in case you were wondering. The place is firmly sealed so you could never get inside.
Well I suppose most of you know this sign from Gossip Girl. The sign which placed at the Bass / Van der Woodsen luxurious penthouse below...
via apartment therapy.
I would really love to put up that sign at my house as well as the series of photographs taken at Prada Marfa by Gray Malin. Or I might as well do a DIY just like this girl here, since my first two options are quite pricey. I'm just secretly arty, not all out arty, so I'm not that willing to purchase pricey art stuffs.
But the Prada Marfa itself is without a doubt, a completely amazing
piece of art and I truly hope one day I'll get the chance to admire it in
person. Amen.

Well hello darlings!
What a crazy beautiful view, isn't it! I wonder where's the location since the person who pinned this didn't exactly mention it. This pic also makes me want to go on a little vacay so badly! Some of my friends had asked me to go Vietnam / Thailand / Singapore next month but at the same time my husband will be here in Jakarta. I'll have to take a rain check. Sorry, ladies... bad timing ):
Anyways eventhough there won't be any jacuzzi with killer view for me this weekend, I'll just settle with some good books I picked up earlier this week. That's good enough for me. (: I hope you'll have a pleasant weekend as well!
Links this Friday:
Take me to gelato tasting in italy!

This pair of sunglasses... It was love at first sight really. But then I found out Elizabeth and James has almost the same pair and cheaper (half the price). Gorgeous aren't they!
I agree.
Great for any homes with dogs too.

Path To Inner Peace
via Pinterest
This quote is very true. I've been applying this to my life, hence my abandoned twitter account, instagram account and path account. I honestly can't find inner peace if I keep on checking my old twitter feed / old instagram feed / old path feed since there are too many dramas... so I simply "ignore" them. For me, it's a blessing not to know any gossip / ill behavior / when some people are spreading negative vibes. Do you any of you ever feel the same way? Or am I the only weird anti-social gal in the whole wide world? And if I'm bringing the negative vibe by blogging this post (I know I am), just do what I usually do, ignore! (;
Love you my darling readers! Please keep in mind that I will not abandon this blog, I will keep on blogging until the end of my life. Because this blog is one of my paths to inner peace. (:

Hector Series
via BooksActually
Last year I read Francois Lelord's Hector and The Search of Happiness and I loved it. So now I'm going to go to my favorite bookstore (YAY!) to get the rest of Hector series. I'm just hoping they're gonna be as great as Hector and The Search of Happiness. Eventhough I recently purchased Game of Thrones series (already watched the Season 1 and Season 2 and quite intrigued to read the books) and 50 Shades trilogy since everyone on the internet is recommending those two. In other words, I still have books I haven't read yet despite the fact I'm gonna run to the bookstore once again. I admit I'm greedy when it comes to books. Judge me. Whatever. #ForgiveMeMyWallet
I'm almost done reading The Hunger Games trilogy, currently reading Book 3: Mockingjay. So far, I'm loving The Hunger Games trilogy. It's so hard for me to put the book down, back to the real life. Suzanne Collins is brilliant! And it's gonna be even harder for me to part ways with Katniss and friends... pretty sure I'm going to have "book hangover".

Hello darlings!
Don't you just love yummy desserts! Well, I do. I do love desserts. Although I have a wicked sweet tooth, it's discriminating. I don't like anything that's too sweet, such as sweet candies / caramelized apple (basically everything with caramel in it, so no Crème brûlée for me) / cupcakes with way-too-thick-icing. Just because it has sugar in it doesn't mean I'm going to eat it. Oh dear I hope I don't sound like a desserts snob. (; My kinds of cakes are cheesecakes (all kinds), tiramisu, red velvet and chocolate (esp. nutella) cakes.
Anyhoo... I always eat cake every weekend (not everyday, I'm avoiding diabetes lah) to keep my sanity and what I have been thinking about is which sweet treats I will indulge this weekend! Mmm... can't wait!
Have a yummy weekend!
If you want to try to make your own desserts, you might want to try this no bake cheesecake / pink vanilla pocky cake / tiramisu cheesecake / s'mores chocolate chip cookies
I want this tee.
I can relate to this very much. Happens to me everytime!
I'm so in love with this pair of sunglasses.

Love Story: Audrey Hepburn & Robert Wolders
This is a total re-post from one of my favorite blogs: { this is glamorous } 's
by joey bailey for {this is glamorous} | editing & image compilation by roséline | view previous articles
which I ABSOLUTELY ADORE! Eventhough I already know Audrey Hepburn's stories by heart, but this is my first time seeing photos of La Paisible, Audrey's estate in Switzerland. Her favorite place to be with her family and the place where she took her last breath.
Beautiful post. Great job, { this is glamorous } ! Giving link to this post is not enough, I simply have to repost because it's about Audrey Hepburn!!!

John F Kennedy Jr & Carolyn Bessette
via { this is glamorous }
via { this is glamorous }
John F Kennedy, Jr and Carolyn Bessette (also Lauren Bessette, Carolyn Bessette's sister) left this world today 13 years ago tragically. They were (and still remain) one of my favorite famous couple, look how happy they were on pics above. This is how I will remember them, I don't know how was their marriage like behind closed doors, but to me, they were such beautiful and loving couple.

Monday ManiPedi: Ikat Manicure
One of my favorite patterns! So happy I could put it on my nails. I got the tutorial from an instagrammer, her username is: lafemmelulu few days ago and been dying to do my nails since.
As per her instructions:
1. I applied two coats of Essie Turquoise & Caicos as the base, except for my ring-finger which I applied with two coats of Essie Tart Deco. Allow to dry few minutes.
2. Then I used Faceshop's White nailpolish to paint irregular spots. Wait few minutes to dry.
3. Used Essie Tart Deco to add irregular smaller spots on top of the larger spots.
4. Then used a black permanent marker to apply thin feathery strokes vertically following the outer edge of the contrasting spots. The lines need not be perfect as the final look exaggerates a fabric or feathered look.
5. Allow 15 minutes to dry before applying top coat.
I absolutely looove my nails right now!

Sunday Thoughts: Light Will Come Bursting In
via spiritual inspiration
Repost from spiritual inspiration because this is a very beautiful post. If you have tumblr account and if you're a Christian, follow spiritual inspiration!
When darkness overtakes the godly, light will come bursting in.(Psalm 112:4)
Everyone goes through seasons of difficulty or times when things just
seem dark. During these challenging times, know that you are not alone.
God has a plan to drive out the darkness—He will flood you with His
light! Notice that in today’s verse it doesn’t say, “The light will come
trickling in.” No, it says that the light will come bursting in! That
means suddenly, you will see God’s goodness. Suddenly, you’ll be
promoted. Suddenly, the answer will come!
If you’ve been going through a difficult time, get ready for the
goodness of God in a new way. Know that His light is about to come
bursting in! Get ready for breakthroughs. Get ready for promotion. Get
ready for restoration. You may have had that problem for a long, long
time, but today could be the day that it turns around. Suddenly, things
can change! God wants His glory to be seen on you. He wants you to stand
out in the crowd. He wants you to be so blessed that everyone around
you can see His goodness on you! So keep standing, keep believing, keep
hoping and keep declaring His Word because His light is going to come
bursting in!

Fabulous Friday Finds
via Chance
Just like the woman in the photo above, I'm going to spend this weekend alone because my husband Jonah already went back to Lombok last Tuesday. Planning a relaxing weekend... Just me, my book and my striped tee (and shorts). I actually enjoy being alone, on my own. Eventhough many people / friends (yes, not just some, but many) think that it is odd to go to the cinema alone, eating at restaurants or cafe alone, shopping alone, basically doing everything alone, I actually enjoy it to the hilt! Yes, I'm alone but I'm absolutely not lonely, there's a difference. Do any of you enjoy being alone too?
Oh well, I wish you all a very relaxing weekend (:
Oh wow... Hidden Pools!
Then it leads to King Kai Pool Float. Oh!
Welovekaoru. Oh yes I do!
I just found out about Spice Girls' musical, "Viva Forever". Interesting!
I have a feeling that this would be my next bottle of essie ((:

A not very challenging nail art, it is a very simple one indeed. Applied two coats of Essie Fiji then painted freehand with Essie Tart Deco. Painting the melting effect is very easy, don't be afraid to move the brush around!

This beach is called Virgin Beach, located in eastern part of Bali, and it's one of my favorite beaches in Bali simply because the ambiance is still lovely and quiet. Dreamland Beach and Padang Padang Beach are just now waaay too packed with tourists and too many hawkers.
However, I can't wait to go back to Bali for a short vacay and visit Virgin Beach and my other favorite spots in Bali. ❤ Soon Bali dear, soon...
The best apple pie you'll ever have! Sounds delishhh
Amazing breaking waves photos
Loving Dior's Cruise 2012 lookbook photos
I've been admiring Olivia Palermo's style for a while now, she's so chic. Look at her!
Have you seen "The Amazing Spiderman"? You better go to your fave cinema now!!! I loved it a lot. Andrew Garfield is a lot better Peter Parker / Spiderman than Tobey Maguire, in my opinion.

75 years ago today (July 2nd, 1937), Amelia Earhart and Fred Noonan went missing near Howland Island (Pacific Ocean) during her attempt to circumnavigate the globe. So when I saw this photo, I feel obligated to post it here on this blog today.

Monday ManiPedi: Stripes Ombre Manicure
Well hello! At first I was going to try this ombre nail art, but somehow I didn't quite satisfied with the result hence these stripes ombre nails. I love the result! Nude, mint and turquoise blended perfectly, they look great together. But of course you can also try this stripes ombre nails with other colors, say beige, coral and red. That being said, I hope OPI will never discontinue their "Samoan Sand" color, it's their best basic color in my opinion! I'm most certain that I will use it again for my next Monday ManiPedi feature. (; I'm going to try ..... hmm well, just see it next week! Have a great week ahead.
