Vintage Print Ads

Okay so, I love old stuffs. Check! Unconsciously have a separate folder for old photos in my iPhoto. Check! Love Mad Men? Check! ---> you really have to watch the Mad Men series to understand my last statement. And yes, I love Mad Men series. Totally unrelated statements for random people but me. These vintage print ads below convinced me that Indonesia had its own "Mad Men" even before declaring independence day in 1945.

L'Interdit

L'Interdit was a perfume created in 1957 by Hubert de Givenchy for his friend, Audrey Hepburn. Its name means "forbidden". It has a soft, floral, powdery aroma. It contains notes of rose, jasmine, violet and, at the heart, a blend of woods and grasses. First created privately for Miss Hepburn by Givenchy. She wore it for a matter of years until finally releasing it to the public in the 1960's. Her photoshoot for the frangrance became legendary. Some claim it showed another side of Audrey.

My favorite commercial ever!!! Because of those Siberian Huskies and the cute husky pup tucked into the So Kelly Bag. My parents showed me this ad last week, they said: “If you have to choose, the pup or the bag. Which one will it be? Because we are sure you can’t pick either one.” Ha-ha, very fun mom, dad. But they know me so well. I can’t. I want both of them equally :D

When it comes to capturing the season, few ads do it as well as the latest Hermes commercial. It’s all snow, ice, and luxurious furs in this celebration of wintery weather! Well in my opinion, Hermes always has the best commercials.

Sweden’s Ice Hotel is the ideal backdrop for this frosty photo shoot. The white snow ensures that scarlet alligator So Kelly bag pops, and Raquel Zimmerman’s dewy skin glows against her dark furry hood.
