Chewy & Lowy on Instagram!

Two days ago, I submitted a photo of Chewy & Lowy to Dogs of Instagram account. To my surprise, they uploaded the photo last night on their instagram account!!!

Here are my iPhone's screenshots from that night...

This notification from @dogsintagram made me jumped out of the bed and screamed happily!
Dogs of Instagram profile on instagram.
201 people liked the photo within 15 minutes.
Then Chewy & Lowy's pic made it to the popular page!
The Popular Page!
When I woke up this morning and checked the instagram, Chewy & Lowy's pic was still on popular page! Yay!
My computer's printscreen 5 minutes ago. 1900 people liked the photo and around 60 people left lovely comments! Those small things they did, take up the most room in my heart.
I'm making a big deal out of this, I know. But I have my reasons.

First, I love Chewy and Lowy very much. They're my pride and joy. And the world needs to know that these two amazing huskies exist! I'm a proud mama, what can I say?

Second, This started of as me showing off my beautiful and expressive-in-front-of-the-camera huskies. But then... someone who saw their pic on dogsofinstagram account left me a comment on my instagram account that touched my heart. This is what she wrote:

This insignificant / silly thing I did apparently managed to give other people something money can't buy. To be able giving people strength / happiness / comfort they need is priceless! This is something that I want to do constantly. But of course I will find another way that does not involve me showing off my huskies' pics (;

It's great if you are always striving to find the way to make your mark, to make a difference and to leave the greatest impact on other people, animals and the environment.  By doing great efforts and accomplishments, because you have been trained to believe that only the bigness of effort and outcome is what is important.

But always remember to consider the small things. They will not necessarily make you as one of those admirable CNN heroes finalists, but they will make a big difference in other people's life - not to mention yours. Let us do the small loving things daily in a conscious way, as I'm sure they will certainly add up to greatness overall.

Just like Vincent van Gogh once said, "Great things are not done by impulse but by a series of small things brought together."

Fabo Links

Haven't posted few of my favorite things from all over the internet. It's time.

I love Design Sponge's website, they give great ideas into my everyday life. Been a fan since 2007 and still going strong (: Thanks Grace Bonney!

One of my favorite categories on Design Sponge would be the Living In articles. Check out some of my favorites:
Breakfast at Tiffany's (naturally),
Troop Beverly Hills (Yes, I know all of the lines to the movie. I've watched it since I was 7 - and I love the yellow and white striped stuffs),
Breathless (Aahh Jean Seberg and all those stripes clothes),
The original Parent Trap (Cute vintage items),
The Graduate (I love Mrs Robinson's house decor - great movie too!)
Coco Before Chanel (The Sailor Stripes and the classy and elegant style)
An Education (must love all the vintage clothes and accessories)

Also Design Sponge's Entertaining section, esp the recipes! I'm going to try out this Melissa Clark's Bacon, Rosemary and Tomato Pasta and will serve this dish to my husband when he's in town for a short visit! He loves pasta and adores bacon!

I love this Lands' End Canvas Look Book app on my iPad.

If you're an Interior Designer, you must have these 5 apps installed on your iPad.

This DIY looks quite easy and I love the turquoise colored tapered rectangle top. I hope I have the skill (and time) to do it (;

I AM NOT A FAN OF LADY GAGA (yes, this statement must be typed in capital letters) and on the contrary I LOVE TONY BENNETT. In this video, Tony Bennett as usual delivers a great performance (gotta love this old champ) and I must admit that Lady Gaga is doing a pretty good job here too. Still not a fan of her, but I do like this video.

Another incredibly easy DIY: Wrap-Turned-Scarf. Care to try?

Starting to love Kelly Framel's jewelry shop.

Also, today's October 12th! Don't forget to update your iTunes to 10.5 version so you can update your iPhone / iPod / iPad to iOS 5. Yay!

Currently loving Hillsong's Saviour King. God is Great!

Toodles! xox

R.I.P. Steve Jobs

my iMac's printscreen.
Deeply saddened by the passing of Steve Jobs. As a big Apple fan and owner of apple products I somehow feel connected to him.

I never met Steve Jobs. Despite that, Steve Jobs changed my life as much as anyone I’ve ever known. He changed the way I communicate with every single person I know. He changed the way I document and store the most important memories I have. He changed the way I entertain myself and my family. My life wouldn't be the same without his creations and innovations. I don’t know any other CEO whose gadgets changed the world (or my world, anyway).

I'm writing this entry, as I do everything else, on this iMac that once only existed instead the mind of Steve Jobs. He changed the world. Apple will go on without him, as will the rest of the tech world. But it’ll never be the same as when he manned the bridge.

Thank you Mr. Jobs...

A lot of times, people don't know what they want until you show it to them.

iPad 2, iWant U

Before you say anything, yes, I wrote the same entry a year ago. And yes, now my husband and I own the thing... But it's the first generation iPad. And few days ago Apple announced that they're launching iPad 2 this coming March 11, 2011. That's 6 six days before my birthday! Ehmm hubby, please. Please. Please. I want one for my birthday! White iPad 2, 32GB, 3G WiFi, lime green smart cover. PLEASEEEEEEE...

See this video and tell me, how can I (and you) not want this??

*note: yes, this entry is meant for my husband, Jonah.

Mac Love

There's this new saying that has been spreading around the net in which I think really true!"Life was much simpler when Apple and Blackberry were just fruits."Let's analyze this, shall we?

I don't know about Blackberry, I'm not a user and I don't think I will be (yea, the onyx from my in-laws is now used by my husband). Right, so, before Apple, I didn't really care with technology and so on. All I cared about was the computer's working, I can chat, I can send e-mail and store files.

After Apple, life is getting complicated. First I wanted the iPod then iMac then MacBook then iPhone then iPhone Apps then new iPod then new iPhone then Airport then iPad and God knows the rest. See what I mean?

And just to make Mac lovers' life even more complicated, yesterday they launched the new iPhone 4. Great. And boy, Steve Jobs were pretty cocky actually. He said, "No one used computers until Macintosh. No one listened to MP3 players until iPod. No one made video calls until iPhone 4." Ha! This time I must disagree with you Mr. Jobs, although I would love to have iPhone 4, I'm still grateful with my iPhone 3Gs. I have a digicam which pixel is more than 5.0 mp. I could live without LED flash. I don't get along pretty well with video calls (Ugh video calls, nightmare! I have a story on this one. Ex-lover involved, not good).

Until this very moment, I don't feel the great urgency to upgrade my 3Gs to 4. It's lovely yet unnecessary. I'll just wait the free software on June 21st 2010 for my 3Gs, my baby would be lovelier. One last statement, a rather pathetic one, I'm still dying for an iPad 3G *boohoo*. Time to end this confession of a Mac-aholic. You do understand now, why life is much simpler when Apple and Blackberry were just fruits?

Longing for an Apple iPad 3G

I use iPod Nano daily, iPhone for my communication device. Even my parents have iPod shuffle and they know how to operate Apple computers, they use iMac for browsing and facebook-ing (i guess that's what people call it today huh!). Brother is using Macbook Pro and iPod touch. Hubby is using Macbook. Heck I even typed this text on my iMac. We are Apple family. We love apple, so much. Apple iPad will complete my life. I love it already before actually owning one, blame it on the iBook!

Hubby / Brother / Mom & Dad? Apple iPad 3G for my birthday please? ;)
