I strongly believe that this statement made by Gandhi is 100% true. Every single person goes through hard times, and in all honesty, it's the difficulties and struggles that make people stronger and smarter. Always being good at everything or having a perfect life is not only unrealistic, but also does not make a person strong. Pursuing difficult tasks and not giving up is true strength, and this was something Gandhi constantly strived to do in his lifetime.
